Like the last donut in the box, this food blog was starting to get a little stale. The old custom platform made it impossible for the site to be easily updated. Not a good recipe for success for a bakery blog always looking for new content and a tasty new look.

PixelChefs came into the kitchen to assist chef Lindsay in taking her life’s work to a whole new level of delicious. We created an all-new custom blog site to highlight her confectionary genius. Though building a site for multiple platforms, we focused on the mobile version so users can easily open recipes right from the kitchen, research dessert options and access recipe ingredient lists while at the grocery store.

One of the essential ingredients to the site’s success is the load speed. While creating a site that looks as good as Lindsay’s cakes, PixelChefs also built a site that loads in less than a second. That met our goal of ensuring the site was fast and scored well on Google’s PageSpeed Insights Test and Core Web vitals.

Lindsay’s goal is to help anyone create beautiful and delicious desserts right in their own kitchen. She also recognized the need for an exciting new online presence to build her views and customer base. Our goal was to build those views while also helping users maneuver quickly and easily through the site. The result is a fun and tasty food blog that makes browsing the site almost as fun as the actual baking.
